Fellowship & Ministry

The Disciples of God caring for the people of God.

Church members, new friends and old, are encouraged to come together through regular worship. Services are held every Sunday in Wagga Wagga at 9.30am. At Milbrulong, worship services are held every second and fourth Sunday of the month at 9am.

The Lutheran School Wagga Wagga is a mission and ministry activity of our Church. It is a wonderful blessing for a child to have a Christian education and our congregation is thankful God has given us this opportunity to contribute to these children's lives in a positive way.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church members take part in a number of local ecumenical ministries, such as the Special Religious Education Programme in NSW public schools and Gideons International. Our members have also been involved in the Refugee Support Programme in Wagga Wagga for over twenty years.

Fellowship is very important to our congregation.  Below are a number of regular opportunities we have to come together and support each other in our faith.

Sunday School

Our congregations have very active Sunday Schools that operate during school terms. Classes are aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and start partway through worship services.

Sunday School is an excellent place for children to hear some of the great Bible stories and learn about God from their own unique perspective. And they never go away empty-handed!

Our Sunday School teachers have completed their Safe Church requirements, complied with the NSW Working With Children Check, and have First Aid Certificates.

Bible Studies

Bible study groups provide our congregational members with the opportunity of furthering their faith in a personal and encouraging environment.

In a small group, we can take the time to develop our own personal understanding of God's plan for our lives. It is a time of sharing, learning and supporting.

Please contact one of our Elders if you would like to join one of our Bible Study groups.

Shed Men

Sheds, Barbeques, and Blokes. A Shed Men gathering is a great chance to relax after a long month with a casual chat and a few stories with good blokes around a barbeque in a shed. Whether you like a scotch fillet, a chicken skewer or the humble snag in bread, if you're a bloke who like a shed and a chat, you are welcome to come along. You don't even have to own a shed!

Shed Men meet on the last Friday of the month (with breaks during the heights of winter and Summer).

Check the church bulletin or Parish Poster for details on upcoming Shed Men locations.

Care and Share

Care and Share is a small gathering of people who meet mid-week for a chat and a cuppa. Many who attend bring along their handicraft of choice.

Currently, Care and Share are providing various knitted items for CareVan Wagga Wagga, a local charity supporting the homeless, disadvantaged, and isolated people in our area, which relies soley upon the donations and support of the local community.

Care and Share meets in Athol Street on Wednesday mornings, from 10am to 12pm.

Ladies Fellowship

The women of our Wagga congregation have been working together since our very beginnings with the aim of raising money for the Lutheran Church and other local charities, whilst fostering friendships within the church. Our Ladies Fellowship is affiliated with Lutheran Women of Australia.

Meetings are held in the Damschke Memorial Hall at 9.30am on the first Thursday of the month.
